It's interesting how 9 pm shows a major drop off in brand interaction, but one notable guest makes an infamous appearance--Trojan. The only question is how exactly did he become 'aware' or 'interact' with it?

Trojan at 9pm. At least it wasn't the Vaseline logo.
On Dec.18.2008 at 09:32 AMMatt’s comment is:
pretty neat, interesting how many brands one interacts with in just 24 hours. and yes, he sure does use his moleskin quite alot, give it a break every now and again...
'at least it wasn't vaseline." ha too funny

Something tells me that he documented all the logos of all the brands he saw that day in a Moleskine.

Ahh!
That makes sense!

How come every singe information visualization has to take this form? Interesting idea but this approach is getting tiring.

Very neat.
@Scott: good point.

Jesse, I did this project the year before (I work on the Fill/Stroke site with Tanner) and the project asked that we make a clock. Its actually a functioning piece, and justifies the form.

Oh, now I get it, it's his own brand interaction. Duh. I was trying to think of it as a readable clock.
So, what is the level of interaction for a brand to make it onto this clock? I'm working on an Apple computer with a whole bunch of Post-It notes around the monitor and a business card of the organization I work for...
And a second thought: it must ruin the level of normal interaction you have with these brands when you have to pay so close attention to what you would usually not pay attention to. You'd start looking around for brands to add to the list. It would almost be better to have someone else monitor your brand usage on a day you didn't know they were doing so. (Does that make sense?)

Looks great Tanner. This is my favorite that you have done. See you for Christmas.

Eh, it's a rip from the first one. Right down to the sex at the end. Funny thing is, condoms are really to only way to indicate "I had sex!!!" in brand form, even if you didn't use one... bet there's some fudging in there.
On Dec.18.2008 at 01:59 PMGregory’s comment is:
I don't know. I'm guessing if the 9 o'clock hour was fudged, he would have used this logo instead:
Also, do you think this was inspiration?
On Dec.18.2008 at 02:47 PMCraig’s comment is:
IN a very short amount of time he interacted with a Chevy, Lexus, Ford, Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Isuzu and GMC. Does sitting in traffic constitute interacting with a brand? Or did he just log the brands he saw in a day?
Watching 30 minutes of TV would send the brand-ometer off the scale.
Odd that he plays board games after sex...
On Dec.18.2008 at 07:37 PMDale’s comment is:
great continuation of the 'brands in a day' theme.
however it does look like a walking advertisement for moleskine. if it's a representation of a 'normal day' - would he really use the moleskine that much?
On Dec.18.2008 at 11:20 PMmlchrs’s comment is:
it's funny that the condom-notion is always the only thing that seems to interest people in this type of chart.
I like the visual form of the graphic, but the information content is minimal.
